Control of steam bottoming cycles using nonlinear input and output transformations for feedforward disturbance rejection

چکیده

In this paper we analyze the control problem for a steam cycle that produces power by recovering waste-heat from gas turbines on an offshore installation. The recovery unit is based once-through generator technology. main disturbances are large variations of turbine exhaust flowrate and temperature. We effect these operation cycle, specifically superheated pressure compare performance different decentralized strategies standard PID-controllers nonlinear feedforward. consider floating constant strategies. For temperature implement feedback, feedback in combination with input output transformations feedforward disturbance rejection. These steady-state energy balance waste heat unit, while simulation purposes use high-fidelity dynamic model bottoming designed to minimize weight volume. outcome work can be used propose coordinating combined (gas cycle) operate rapid changes demand.
